China and Hong Kong day 13: Dali.

Submitted by maria on Mon, 20/06/2016 - 14:19

We had breakfast at the Dragonfly Hostel. In this hostel they have helped us to get accommodation in Kunming (Upland), through Sara from Dragonfly they get us the bus tickets from Dali to Kunmig and from Kunming to Yuangyan. All thanks to Sara.

We decided to visit the city renting tandem and four bikes, very fun. Very useful to visit the old town, if you decide to go down to the lake is more dangerous there is a lot of traffic.

The old city of Dali has 4 gates, north, south, east and west and another one in the middle (more or less), we visited several parks and squares and also temples. You can spend hours on the streets as it has a special charm, is less touristy than Lijiang and that makes it more authentic.
