China. It's our first foray into the Asian giant, its growth is unstoppable. Ancient culture, untamed nature, ethnic diversity, avant-garde cities make up a country of enormous contrasts that will leave you fascinated. Everything here is different. Its gastronomy is exciting. Dare to visit the rural areas, not only the icons, they will not disappoint you.

China and Hong Kong day 21: from Hong Kong to Burgos.

We got up at 4:55 in the morning to go to the airport. It's raining heavily and the first cabs won't take us. Sometimes it's difficult to get a taxi, we don't know if it's because of the language but they don't always want to take you. Luckily, a very nice taxi will take us and will understand us.

It's our last day in Hong Kong. Our flight leaves tomorrow at 7 am and we take the backpacks to the check-in via Airport Express Train in Kowloon but they won't let us because it's only possible on the same day although it's less than 24 hours before the flight leaves, so we go back home with the backpacks.

China and Hong Kong day 16: return to Kunming.

Submitted by maria on Thu, 23/06/2016 - 18:06

We have a tough day ahead of us today on our way back to Kunming. It's raining hard to get out of the village. A taxi is coming to take us Xinjie. A very nice taxi driver. Nothing to do with the coffee we had on the way. It's market day and the ATM is all over the place, but he doesn't let us take out money because although the guide says there is an ATM, it only works with a six digit Chinese card. Good thing we didn't need it.
