Xian is a huge city and it takes us more than an hour to get from the airport to the city centre where we are staying.

Xian is a fortified city, we take a walk through the Jewish quarter and we see the Towers of the Drum and the Bell, which served as a warning in the Middle Ages.

There is a market with thousands of things that call our attention. There is an exaggerated pollution in the city, it looks like fog.

In the afternoon we ask the hostel to tell us where the station is to catch a train to Pingyao. The guy at the reception tells us that he helps us but we don't want to pay commission, a big mistake.

Xian train station is huge, all the signs are in Chinese and nobody speaks English, in the vicinity thousands of people are camping waiting for the train to arrive, we are speechless. We decided to go back to the hostel and have the receptionist help us.
