At times we manage to sleep, we get up before two o'clock in the morning, we have coffee, tea, bread, rice and noodles for breakfast, we have to get our strength back.

At 2.30 a.m. the ascent begins to reach the summit at dawn. At the beginning several sections of stairs, it is quite cold, we are inside a cloud and it starts to rain. At the moment our clothes protect us. We can only see the front lights of our companions and guides. The stairs end and the ropes begin.

We have to be careful because it's a bit slippery. It's raining more and more and the wind is intense. We hardly see each other. The rope sections serve as a guide and make the path easier. One kilometer before the summit there is a hut where they offer you a diploma for about thirty euros, we say no.

We arrive at the top but it is not yet dawn, the rain is heavy so we decide not to wait and start the descent. It's dawn, you can only see clarity, we are still inside the cloud, what a pity not to be able to enjoy the views.

When we arrive to the area of ropes again, the wind blows less, people are piled up in the most complicated step so we wait and play. The rock practically does not slip and that is lucky considering how much it has rained.

We arrive at Laban Rata and return to breakfast. There is more variety than in the first breakfast, we recharge our strength, we still have the descent to the entrance of the Park.

We are told that 175 MYR per pax in a shared room or 400 MYR for a double room, is very expensive, in the end it offers us a double room for 210 MYR. We accepted and he upgraded us to a double room with bathroom. There are no more guests and the building and its beautiful terrace is only for us.

We have dinner soon in a restaurant inside the park and take a short walk, you can hear the monkeys, insects, birds, all amidst the overwhelming jungle.

It has been an exhausting day but a wonderful experience, a must.
