Located in the Aragonese town of Canfranc, the Canfranc International Railway Station is a spectacular building inaugurated by Alfonso XIII in 1928 that connected the border crossing between Spain and France.

It consists of a main building and adjoining rooms with loading bays and warehouses for goods and machinery. At present, the elegant main building can only be visited from the outside along with the rest of the rooms as it is currently undergoing renovations for the opening of a luxury hotel. Well worth a visit!

You can also visit the nearby Fusileros Tower on the outskirts of Canfranc. This 1876 tower was built to defend and control the area from possible French attacks. It is now a tourist information office.
