At 6 a.m. we meet Bosco who picks us up at the lodge to go to the Isalo National Park.

It is a very hot day so getting up early is a good idea. We're going in a 505 ranchero.

We start the 6 hour route to visit the park. After 10 minutes we already see the first lemurs (ringed tail). The path goes through a spectacular canyon until we reach the Fairyland. The water is cold but invites you to swim anyway.

We continue to climb and reach the highest point, from here we can enjoy the views and the famous elephant foot, a type of baobab that grows in rocky places. We see gekos and an owl. Bosco is a good guide and knows the area well. We descend the canyon and go to other natural pools where we also bathe. They are impressive. At the end of the route we eat at the river bank and we see a water snake directly towards us, at the end it gets scared and leaves. We see another lemur before the end of the route.

On the way back some children appear on the road and show us a giant chameleon! To thank them we give them some cookies.
