Malaysia and Thailand day 15: Krabi.

Submitted by maria on Wed, 13/06/2012 - 20:32

We decided to move to a new area, we were in Thailand a few years ago and we wanted to see Krabi.

Our bus leaves at seven in the morning. It's a van and it doesn't go badly at all. We crossed the border in Bukit Kayu Hitam without any problems. At Hat Yai we change vehicles, another van. We have to wait an hour. We pick up more passengers and parcels, it takes another hour to get out of town. We eat in a service area.

We arrived at Krabi, we want to arrive at the zone of Ao Nang (Krabi coast) and it seems Benidorm, to arrive the small taxi asks for 200 Bath to us, it seems to us very expensive, in the end we found one by 100. Once there they advise to us that if we want economic prices for bungalows that we go to Ton Sai. It belongs to the peninsular zone but it is accessed by boat. So we take a longtail, you buy the tickets in the main street and they take you to the dock to take the boat.

Ton Sai beach is beautiful, jungle, sand and cliffs. We stay there in Paasook Resort in a bungalow, it doesn't have a mosquito net and the mosquitoes are biting with us. The accommodation is surrounded by palm trees and monkeys. A chulada. But the accommodation is very fair.  Don´t  forget mosquito net.
