We get up early, it's freezing but the sun is shining, we have booked a free tour of the centre at 10.45 am so after breakfast we'll take the pulse of the city.

The truth is that Yoli's apartment is super well located and we don't need transportation, we can get there on foot.
We're meeting at Marienplatz. Before that we visited St. Peter's Church, the oldest church in Munich, and went up to the viewpoint installed in the bell tower, the best views of the city, a must.

At 10.45 a.m. we arrive at Marienplatz, a very important square, where the New Town Hall, the Old Town Hall, the Column of St. Mary and the Carrillon are located. We wait until 11 o'clock to see the figures performing the Cooper's Dance in action. Don't miss it.

It is quite cold but the route is short. The guide is an Andalusian girl with a lot of salt and tells us the history of the city at every point of the tour.
It is impressive to see the impacts of ammunition on the walls of the buildings. She tells us that the Bavarians are very ashamed of what happened during the first and second World War.

We see the Viktualienmarkt, where you can try all the German gastronomic delights, the Munich Theater, Residenz (former Royal Palace), Odeonplatz (church of the Teotinos, Feldherrnhalle portico and the facade of the Residenz) and we finish in the Hofbräuhaus brewery, known worldwide, has witnessed important events such as the program of the 25 points of the Nazi party, the visit of the interior is very interesting.

The tour is free and you pay the will. We liked it so much that we gave it 10 euros per pax. You have to register beforehand on the website.
We eat at the Viktualienmarkt, a delicious roast ham and potato sandwich.

In the afternoon we stop at Siegestor or Puerta de la Victoria, one of the most significant monuments of the city. Also in Friedensengel or Angel of Peace on the other side of the Isar river, near Maximilianeum.

We approached to Englishcher Garten, is a huge park where you can walk, bike and even surf. There is a wave zone on the Eisbach River known as Eisbachwelle and you can surf or admire how others do it even at four degrees below zero.

From here we go to Chinesischer Turm, a beautiful Biergarten (beer garden) within Englischen Garten. It's a beautiful 18th century wooden Chinese Tower. Don't miss it.

We had a hot wine in a little wooden house nearby, we didn't like the wine very much.
We had dinner at Augustiner Brau Ausschank, totally recommended. The beer is the most delicious of all and the dinner is spectacular, it is near Karlsplatz with a very curious entrance door.
