Camboya

Laos, known as "the kingdom of the million elephants" is one of the most welcoming and beautiful countries. Golden temples, orange robes, rice fields, jungle, mountains, coffee, waterfalls, the mighty Mekong River, spectacular cities such as Luang Prabang (the former capital of Indochina), Khmer archaeology, ethnic and cultural diversity, gastronomy - all these and more are the attractions Laos has to offer the traveller and make each trip unique.

Day 1: Burgos - Madrid - Frankfurt

Day 2: Frankfurt - Bangkok - Chiang Ray

Day 3: Chiang Ray to Huai Xai

Day 4: Huai Xai to Pak Beng

Today is our last day in Siem Reap, we have breakfast and leave the backpacks in the Guest. We meet the tuk tuk boy to take us to the airport at 4 pm, our flight leaves at 6.30 pm.

Siem Reap

We had breakfast again at the hostel, still not convinced. The bikes they have don't have any change and we go somewhere else to get them. They rent us some that are quite good with change, they are for a ride but the tires are quite thick.

It's raining at dawn. Actually, it's been raining all night. We have breakfast at the Guest, we don't like it much.

Today we go to Angkor, we want to do the tour of the main temples by bike and the rest tomorrow by tuk tuk, but as it doesn't stop raining we do it the other way around. The guy who works at the Guest takes us for $8.

We get up at dawn, there is only one local bus that takes us to Pakse. Supposedly it leaves at 6.30 and we're at the "glorieta".

Champasak

We arrive at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport at 2 pm, we have two options to reach the northern border with Laos, either a flight to Chiang Rai and then take a bus to the border or take a bus from Bangkok.

We leave from Burgos to Madrid Barajas Adolfo Suárez Airport at 18.50, we have a stopover in Frankfurt of just one hour.
